Why Mimosa?
The Mimosa tenuiflora tree is a symbol of ancient regenerative healing. In the 10th century, the Mayans were already utilizing its bark for its incredible capability to heal wounds. Today we have discovered that its roots also contains one of the highest levels of DMT from any botanical known to man. At MIMOSA, we aim to bring the healing power of entheogens such as the Mimosa tenuiflora tree back into service for greater good of humanity.

Origin Story
James Keim, Amanda Feilding, Bob Stanley, and other major figures in the psychedelic world shared a similar vision; they wanted to create an international company that would produce high-quality, natural entheogensDefinition: “becoming divine within” // chemical substance, typically of plant origin, that is ingested to produce a nonordinary state of consciousness for religious or spiritual purposes. at very affordable prices. Informed by ethical capitalism and grounded in morals and practices of the psychedelic community, Mimosa Therapeutics was formed as a Public Benefit Corporation.
Mission
To help people access the best, healthiest version of themselves through the careful and intentional use of entheogens.

Safe
Uniform.
Consistent.
Sacred.
Inclusive.
Organic.
Our Commitments as a Public Benefit Corporation
ETHICAL CAPITAL
Avoid capital that is not committed to ethical impact investment. Democratize access by providing much lower cost offerings (e.g., supplements, topicals, sacraments), and cost-effective tools to “grow your own” at individual, small group and larger group scales
RECIPROCITY
Engage reciprocity with traditional and emerging communities of practice, setting aside a % of profits for conservation, indigenous reciprocity, and for safety education and training. Participate in and learn from other experts in ethics and reciprocity, like Chacruna, RiverStyx
EQUITABLE ACCESS
Grow diversity within our team and in our partnerships
Financially support local community for inner city outreach/education through direct donations. Share high quality Offerings (e.g., therapeutics, sacrament, test kits) with low income communities (free)
SACRED OFFERINGS FOR THRIVING
Clean, pure, all-natural (not synthetic or genetically modified) Offerings. Whole plant/fungi and or extracted Offerings, NOT pharmaceutical compounds requiring capital-intensive pharmaceutical regulation
TRANSPARENCY & OPEN SHARING
Explore “impact” pledge patents to protect low capital access and grow potential for growth in access. Publish on open source / creative commons platform for all core science and discovery. Transparently defined Offerings (source ‘story, geography, ingredients, genetics, potency, purity, etc.) limit protective patenting to specific designs and/or formulations that offer unique advantages, but that do not limit broad engagement and access, e.g., by under-capitalized individuals and communities
